Dear ACSA Region 14 Colleagues,

I would like to welcome you back for the 2009-2010 school year, and thank you for your interest in ACSA. I know that this Handbook will prove very useful to you as you participate in Region 14's activities and events in 2009-2010. The Handbook includes our Calendar, Goals, Roster of Region Leaders and Committee Chairs, and current By-laws.

As a Region Board, we want to recognize the additional responsibilities that you are assuming as charter leaders and committee chairs, in addition to your normal work in the school districts. It is our goal this year to support you any way that we can, by phone, e-mail, or a personal visit to help you better understand your responsibilities. Through leadership work in ACSA, we meet many supportive colleagues that can help us not only in our ACSA endeavors, but in our day-to-day work as well.

With this in mind, we are placing great emphasis on the organization of the region committees this year. As you participate in committees, you will meet 15 or more job-alike professionals that not only help to address matters of importance for ACSA on the state and region level, but will become a valuable resource to you for years to come. With our current economic challenges, it is great to know that we have many in ACSA that we can call upon for an answer to a question, or information about a best practice, or a model program.
